In 1967 the State closed all churches in Albania and so prevented the new generations from coming to know God's love by suppressing all forms of religion. However, in 1990, hope returned with the securing of the "freedom" of worship and religion. Missionaries and religious arrived in this land to open people's hearts anew to meet God. In 1993 we also arrived at Pllanë, in the Lezhë district.
It was especially during the war in Kosovo, by bridging ethnic and religious differences, that we shared times of suffering and times of hope with the people in expectation of future peace.
We give religious instruction to people in a number of villages, we visit families and help with vocation activities and the formation of young girls in discerning their call.
Our house is a centre for diocesan initiatives. It shelters and cares for hearing impaired children as well as through the nursery school. The sick in the villages are helped by way of a hospital outpatients' centre. Attentive to and enlightened by our faith we see about us everyday the growth of the signs of hope.
