pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest. (Mt 9:37-38; Lk 10:2)
  Where We Are > Australia

In 1959 we arrived in Richmond, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, in this vast continent of Australia with the lowest population density in the world.

Our presence here was in response to the request of Italian migrants who wanted a community centre where they could meet God and experience a taste of Italy.

So we began our adventure with missions for the people, the opening of a nursery school, classes in Italian and a kindergarten.

Over the years our pastoral commitment has extended to parishes, to family visitation—especially of migrants— formation of prayer groups for vocations and providing accommodation for female university students (Madre Nazarena Student's House). Together with another community founded in New South Wales, we are a part of the Our Lady of Divine Zeal Delegation.

In this land, so rich in material goods but at times slow to take up the Word of God, our aim is to be a sign of the Spirit who, by means of the Rogate, continues to call and to send out holy apostles.
