pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest. (Mt 9:37-38; Lk 10:2)
  Where We Are > Bolivia

In January 1997, three FDZ Sisters landed in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Bolivia, the poorest country in South America.

Bolivia is a poor country, with the highest rate of infant mortality and half of the population are illiterate. There are many children who live in want and neglect.

We carry out our service in a nutrition centre, which provides food for schoolchildren and the poor; we undertake religious instruction and vocation promotion.

We coordinate the school education service and help women to become aware of their role in society. In the parish we undertake group pastoral work among the various assemblies present.

This new experience started in extreme simplicity and poverty underpinned by the certainty that here too we can bring the Rogate to realisation sharing what we have with our poorest sisters and brothers.
