The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few; pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest. (Mt 9:37-38; Lk 10:2) |

It was our Father Founder's desire to make our spirituality known in other lands. Then, on 18 June 1951, four Sisters arrived at Três Rios, in Brazil. Awaiting them was a crowd of people and a small, rundown, but very welcome house. It was our first missionary experience. Today we have 12 communities in Brazil. ![]() Brazil is the largest country in South America. "It is such a beautiful country and its people are truly wonderful... there is so much wealth in the hands of a few, and so much poverty..." Children left to their own devices who become victims of unscrupulous people is a tragedy that afflicts this country. But we FDZ are far from discouraged in the face of such a reality. We carry out our teaching mission in schools, using Fr Annibale's pedagogy of love; we welcome poor children and the elderly widowed; we help in the pastoral work of evangelisation and religious instruction, while some Sisters take care of the poorest in their pastoral care of the sick. We are at the service of the dioceses cooperating with the Rogationist Fathers in the Instituto de Pastoral Vocacional (Institute of Pastoral Work for Vocations) for the training of those engaged in the pastoral work for vocations.
