Rwanda is a small hilly land situated in the heart of the African continent, in the Great Lakes region. We arrived in 1990 and now have two communities here.
The many trusting and joyful children that we meet here call to mind the words of Fr Annibale: "I love my children. For me they are the dearest ideal of my life." These children are the country's future and we want to work for them so that they can have the hope and surety of a better life.
For us FDZ, to be here in Rwanda, means making free, fully conscious and courageous choices so as to share our lives with these people, bringing Christ to the least and becoming ourselves the least with them.
At present we undertake our mission in a nursery school and nutrition centre, with an atelier for young women, as well as literacy courses, a hospital outpatients' centre, and vocation activities.
We are grateful to all those who support our mission especially with "adoptions abroad" or through the direct work of volunteers. We need everyone's help.
