Church opposite student house

One thing I really like about Madre Nazarena Student's House (MNSH) is its strategic location: it is close to the city and to most universities, and it is just opposite the beautiful St Ignatius' Catholic Church which makes it easy to go to church so that I do not miss the Sunday Mass.

In the common room with Sister

I came to Melbourne, Australia from India and immediately I felt welcomed into Madre Nazarena Student's House (MNSH) by the Sisters and the current residents. When I moved into this student house, the Sisters and the residents made me feel so comfortable - and this is an ongoing process.

FDZ Sisters and residents

It was a bold step to move from a very small rural area in southern NSW to the big smoke of a city. When I was looking for accommodation in Melbourne my parents were concerned for my safety and also how I would manage domestic chores and study.

A hive of activity in the student kitchen

As an international student, I experienced how hard it was to find a place and to feel at home. After moving several times from one apartment to another, I finally found Madre Nazarena Student's House (MNSH) in Richmond, Australia. From the first day I moved in, I felt welcomed, warm and—most importantly—at home.
